Holiday like you’re James Bond!
The world’s favourite secret agent travels to some of the world’s most beautiful locations staying in glamorous accommodations and so with yesterday’s release of “Spectre” we decided to explore what James Bond-esque timeshare resorts are available to purchase on the resale market or exchange into through the likes of RCI or Interval International. So, wether you’re an aspiring secret agent or someone’s very special “Bond Girl”, grab your fake passport, dodgy collection of innuendos and join us as we take a look at seven 007 destinations…after all, you only live once twice.
This restored Tuscan Hamlet in Arezzo in Italy would make for a great safe house as 007 lies low for some romantic scenes! Retaining their original, rustic Italian charm these cosy units come with open fire places perfect for enjoying a night in front of. Kick back and enjoy the beautiful scenery and views but make sure to take a day trip to Siena just an hours drive away which is where Daniel Craig filmed the epic roof-top chase in “Quantum of Solace”.

Interior of Marriott 47 Park Steet Apartment
Business or pleasure, shaken or stirred, Marriott 47 Park Street offers quintessential accommodation a stone’s throw from Hyde Park and a leisurely 20 minute stroll from Buckingham Palace. Pick up your new Aston Martin from the showroom just round the corner before enjoying a spot of lunch with your friends from CIA (the US Embassy almost next door) at the Michellen starred Le Gavroche (to which guests have their own secret entrance). Cap off a great day with some late afternoon shopping in Bond Street before using the five star concierge service to book the Royal Box at the Albert Hall.

Beach on Cayo Levantado, Samana Bay, Dominican Republic
Located on a private island this top-secret, adults only resort is so off-the-radar it
doesn’t even show up on Google Maps until you switch to satellite mode! As a TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice winner and rated the 11th most romantic destination in the Caribbean, its private beach is perfect for either of you to emerge from the warm seas in your best swimming costume whilst the other admires the view!

Taking open-plan living to a new level, Ochos Cascadas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
OK, so in Bond’s latest movie “Spectre” Mexico City provides the backdrop for the opening scenes and whilst to-date there’s yet to be any Bond movies filmed in Puerto Vallarta,
just take a look at these apartments! Contemporary and open-plan design with each unit enjoying uninterrupted ocean views and private plunge pool on the balcony.

“James Bond Island” Phang Nga Bay, Phuket, Thailand from “Man With The Golden Gun”
Set on the west coast of Phuket, this luxury tropical paradise makes for a great getaway. The stylish one and two bedroom villas come with their own pool straight off the bedroom and lounge areas whilst the resorts spa offers a range of treatments to erase away the stresses of your last mission! For the ultimate Bond holiday destination grab a boat to the stunning Ko Tapu in Phang Nga Bay (a.k.a James Bond Island) made famous in the Man With The Golden Gun.
For a relatively small country Austria has produced a lion’s share of villains and backdrops for Bond with no less than three Austrian locations appearing in the latest instalment. Ferienclub Grundlsee is an idyllic lakeside location just a short drive from Lake Altaussee where the log cabin scenes in Spectre were filmed. Don your skis and take to slopes for some fresh mountain air from before enjoying some refined “après ski”.

Octopussy’s Palace – Taj Lake Palace , Udaipur, Rajasthan, India
The only Bond film to have been shot in India, Octopussy includes some great locations just outside the city of Udaipur. The Shiv Niwas Palace is where Bond stays whilst floating Taj Lake Palace and Jag Mandir provide the settings for Octopussy’s home. Also featured is Monsoon Palace is where Bond is held captive by the evil Kamal Khan before it is later stormed by Octopussy and her hit-squad of bellydancers and spandex-wearing hand maidens just in time for Bond and Q to arrive in a Union Jack covered hot air balloon (only in the 80’s). All three sights are within a short tuk-tuk ride of the impressive Club Marindra Udaipur which affords guests scenic views of the surrounding mountains and provides a great base from which to explore this culturally rich and impressive region of India.

Just dropping in….Bond scales Monsoon Palace in ridiculous fashion!
